As few states have escaped the heavy brunt of the economic crisis, those with the highest overall unemployment or largest budget deficit seem to be getting the most attention, however double digits unemployment rates are more shocking for some state's than others. Idaho's unemployment may not be the highest in the nation as it currently hovers just below double digits at 9.5%, but this figure is shocking when considered in context.
