Contrary to job rates in other parts of the world, summer in Arizona is no time to look for a job. Summer is when the tourist season ends, perhaps due to the increased heat making everyone fly north.
This makes it difficult to accurately assess falling job figures in the southwestern state, though Arizonans are still optimistic about their state's economy.
There still seem to be plenty of construction jobs, as there always will be, and manufacturing is on the rise too.
