As state's across the nation are starting to see the arrival of long promised federal funding, Kentucky is on the receiving end of $2.2 billion, and is using it to create or preserve jobs in many fields including education, health care and public safety. Governor Steve Beshear has said that education remains a top priority and without this funding cost cutting measures would have really been felt in classrooms across the state.
